Program and Activities
Golden Age Card Club
This card club meets every Wednesday from 12 pm-4 pm. All kinds of card games are played such as pinochle, pitch and many others. Come alone or bring a friend to play there are plenty of tables and cards to use. Coffee and refreshments are served.
Canton Duplicate Bridge Club
This card group meets every Tuesday & Thursday
from Noon - 4:00 P.M. There is a fee of $2 to help
cover expenses for the club and lessons are offered
to those who do not know how to play. For more information

Today's Craft Club
This group meets every Friday from 12 pm-4 pm. Everyone brings their own craft to work and chat with everyone. You can also bring in your own craft ideas and share with everyone. Coffee is served.
Monday Night Dance
Come out and dance the night way! Every Monday
night from 7:00 P.M.- 10:00 P.M. you can enjoy a night
of dancing to a variety of music. We also do line
dancing which is taught the first part of the night.
Free coffee is provided.
YWCA Mature Aerobics Class
Get fit with the YWCA and the Canton Park District. This is an exercise group that meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:15 am - 9:00 am. The sessions are 6 weeks long with 12 classes. Please contact the YWCA for pricing info and schedule.
Horseshoe Pits
Located on the north side of the building. This
is a fun and exciting game for the whole family. The
horseshoes are located in the building at the front
desk. Just Ask!
Billiard Tables
One of the biggest hits at the recreation center
besides the swimming pool are the billiard tables.
Everyday the tables are used by pool players of all
abilities. All you need to do is come out and play.
We have everything you need to play.
Computer Classes
The Big Creek Park Recreation Center now teaches
computer classes for beginning users who want to learn
the basics of computer use. Participants will learn
how a computer works, how to access the internet and
perform basic searches and will set up their own email
account. Please call the recreation center at 647-7665
for more information.
Senior Exercise Equipment
Free for senior use in cooperation with Graham
Hospital and a grant from the IL Attorney General's
Office. Equipment available include (3) treadmills,
(2) stationary bikes, elliptical trainer and a 12
position weight machine. Just contact the Rec Center
to arrange a time to fill out a pre-exercise questionaire
and receive how-to-use equipment instructions.
